Cecilia Patrón delivers tools and protective equipment to municipal employees

On her second day of activities as mayor of Merida, Cecilia delivered tools, machinery and protective equipment to city hall employees, as part of the intense work that will mark a before and after in services, covering every corner of Merida and its surroundings, without distinction, with efficiency, order and prompt attention to the needs of Yucatecan families.

She recognized the effort of every man and woman who make this city work every day. “We want them to have the best conditions so that they can carry out their work in the best way and for our city to shine more than ever” she said.

In a subsequent meeting with the media, which will be held every Monday morning, she reported that among the actions that will be implemented this week are the change of public lighting for new LED lights to improve lighting and reduce energy consumption.

She also referred to the Rainy Season Operation to clear wells and increase the absorption capacity of the storm drainage system; as well as the rescue of medians to improve road safety and urban aesthetics, and the “Zero Potholes Operation” that seeks to repair and maintain efficient road infrastructure for the city of Merida.

Cecilia Patrón highlighted the importance of citizen participation in these efforts, and invited the population to maintain a constant dialogue with their municipal authorities.
