In a historic event for Yucatán, 3,298 schools throughout the state now have wireless internet, which offers girls, boys, young people and teaching staff a tool to facilitate their training and studies, as confirmed by the head of the Governor’s Office, María Dolores Fritz Sierra during the delivery of supplies from the Impulso Escolar scheme for the 2024-2025 school year.

Together with the vice president of the Board of Directors of the Senate of the Republic, Mauricio Vila Dosal, Fritz Sierra verified the benefits of the Yucatán Digital program, which raises the technological quality of the state, as well as the distribution of school supplies that this year will benefit 197,029 primary and secondary school students and represents a saving for parents of almost 3 thousand pesos.

Prior to the event held at the “Rodolfo Menéndez de la Peña” primary school located in the center of Mérida, the head of the Governor’s Office sang the Yucatecan Anthem together with composer Luis Pérez Sabido, children, teachers and parents, as a symbol of the identity and unity that characterizes the Yucatecans.

In delivering a message, Fritz Sierra highlighted that these schemes have historically transformed education, installing and bringing closer different tools that allow children and young people to continue advancing in their academic training.

He stressed that with accessible education that reaches all corners is how in recent years we have transformed the lives of thousands of students throughout the state.
