The governor-elect of Yucatán, Joaquín Díaz, was present at the sixth and last government report of President Andrés López, in the Zócalo of Mexico City.
He described the president as the best that Mexico has had in the last 100 years, pointing out that he has begun a historic transformation that now must be consolidated and protected.
He highlighted that, thanks to the policies implemented by the president, Yucatán managed to reduce extreme poverty by almost 50 percent and proudly recalled his role as Delegate of Welfare in the State.
The governor-elect also thanked President López Obrador for the great work that has put the southeast of Mexico on the map, with works such as the Maya Train.
He reiterated his commitment to follow AMLO’s example, assuring that his government will always be at the service of the people of Yucatan.
