The Municipal Veterinary Clinic of Mérida will offer sterilization for pets at a symbolic cost of 100 pesos. This initiative, promoted by the Environment and Animal Welfare Unit, seeks to support the economy of Merida families and responsible pet ownership.

Raúl Escalante Aguilar, director of the Environment and Animal Welfare Unit, reported that the clinic in the Yucalpetén subdivision already has two fully equipped operating rooms. Thanks to this infrastructure, it is expected to serve 50 citizens next week who had previously registered for the sterilization program.

The beneficiaries will also receive responsible ownership talks, an essential condition to access the low-cost castration service. Escalante Aguilar explained the aim of these talks is to ensure that owners understand the importance of animal welfare.

In addition to sterilizations, the Municipal Veterinary Clinic also offers other services for pets, such as vaccinations, minor cures, deworming, and veterinary consultations. This allows owners to access affordable, quality diagnostics and medical care.

Those interested in benefiting from this sterilization program can register through the social networks of the Environment and Animal Welfare Unit or by contacting directly the telephone numbers provided by the institution.

These initiatives are crucial to controlling the animal population and promoting responsible care of pets in Mérida, guaranteeing a better quality of life for them and their families.
