For this second half of the year, it is a fact that both La Noche Blanca and the Festival de las Ánimas will take place like every year, as confirmed by Karla Berrón Cámara, the new director of Identity and Culture of the municipality of Mérida.

Regarding La Noche Blanca, the municipal official highlighted that work is already underway on preparations for the second edition of 2024. However, she specified that, among other issues, they must review the budget sufficiency, agenda, and all situations.

“There will be an edition of La Noche Blanca. We hope to be able to give space to everyone,” said the interviewee, who added that they have not decided if they will celebrate some activities in the Plaza Grande that has its new image. “I would not dare tell you right now, but we will make the best decisions.”

She added that it will tentatively be held at the end of November, but it has not been confirmed yet. At least in this edition, the same line as the previous administration will be followed, but from this, the points will emerge to improve the event. Regarding the Festival de las Animas, she commented that several directions are participating in the event, to do it in the best possible way. Berrón announced that it will be a week of activities, some new, but the details will be announced in a press conference to be offered soon.
