On Friday, September 13, at 4:53 a.m., the Municipal Police of Mérida became aware of the detachment of a fragment from the roof of a property on 63rd Street between 54 and 56.

Police officers on a surveillance tour of that street noted that a piece of the awning had fallen off. When they got off the unit, they discovered that this damage included the property’s interior.

The police agents proceeded to cordon off the place and report the events to Municipal and State Civil Protection for the corresponding purposes. As a safety measure, until experts assess the damage, the bakery staff next to the affected property were not allowed to work.
