On the night of Monday, September 3, residents of the Baltazar Ceballos neighborhood of Hunucmá were scared when they found a crocodile walking along the sidewalk of 18-A Street.
The municipal police were immediately notified, and police and Civil Protection personnel went to the site to help capture and protect the reptile.
Since that day, the crocodile has remained in the municipal command of Hunucmá. It has been assessed and verified that it is well. On September 3, they released it into its natural habitat in the port of Sisal. The Department of Ecology of the Hunucmá Commune endorses all of this.
