Within the framework of the Olympus Season, this Wednesday the second Scenic Festival of Terror, Suspense, and Sinister Dark Fantasy was presented, an event that will include ten theater shows, music, dance, two film screenings, and a discussion.
Alex Benavides, general director of the festival, indicated that ten different events are part of the festival, which will be held between October 3 and 19 in three different venues, the main one being the Olimpo Cultural Center. However, they will carry out activities at Fuera de Centro and Tapanco Cultural Center.
She explained that Siniestra was born from the need to find other perspectives that have strangeness or concerns related to fear, but not focused on traditional themes such as witches or monsters, which in turn can generate new spaces for scenic research that reach out to new audiences.
Selene Medina, in charge of media and promotion of the festival, said the scenic proposals of this edition are aimed at internal concerns of the human being, which we often do not dare to share, that is, internal terrors that trigger sensations such as rage. , anguish, sadness, anxiety, among others.
“The proposals are focused on psychological terror, situations that have to do with human fears, that is, it is not that fear of witches or monsters, but rather something more internal, such as social phobia projects, fears such as motherhood,” the festival organizer also mentioned in a press conference.
Regarding the programming of events and entry costs, both agreed that all the information can be consulted on Siniestra Facebook, where you will also find pre-sale promotions to be able to attend any of the ten events or all the events that are taking place.
