Businessman murdered in Mérida

As we reported in The Yucatan Times, in the early morning hours of Sunday, September 15th, the Monterrey businessman José Ángel Dávila Bernal was murdered, apparently by a shot to the head.

The events occurred in Plaza Royal Campocielo, located at the confluence of the Industrial Park and the road to Dzityá, in the municipality of Merida.

So far, officially, no names of any person indicated as responsible are in the investigation file that is still being put together.

There is secrecy surrounding the police movement, but unofficially it was found out that there are two people arrested.

People in possession of drugs were arrested somewhere else in Merida on the same day, but any relation between these two different apprehensions has not been confirmed by any authority.

The rumor is that one of the arrested is from Sinaloa, but everything that is said is unofficial because the authorities maintain secrecy on this case.
