A family from Tepoztlán, Mexico, who were coming to spend their holidays in Mérida, all ended up with multiple contusions when the van they were traveling in overturned on the Mérida-Campeche federal highway.

The events occurred at kilometer 146+900 of the aforementioned highway, when Mario F. R. H., 64 years old, driver of a Suzuki van with license plate PBU 6272 from the state of Mexico, lost control of the steering wheel, which caused it to go off the left side, falling into the central hollow, until it rolled over several times and ended up in a normal position.

Inside said the unit was Mrs. Guadalupe P. B., 62 years old, and her daughter Yesica M. R. P., 25 years old, who was also severely injured, as was the driver.

Several units of the municipal police of Umán arrived at the scene, and provided first aid to the family, while the SSP ambulances arrived.

Upon arrival, the paramedics on board assessed the injured. Fortunately, they did not need to be taken to a hospital.

Finally, members of the National Guard arrived and took charge of the incident. A representative from the insurance company of the damaged truck arrived at the scene to take charge of the damage.
