The French market is in the top 5 of the European countries that send visitors to the destination
Betting on maintaining connectivity with the French market, which is placed in the top 5 of the European countries that send tourism to Tulum, this municipality began its participation in the International Tourism Fair in Paris.
Carla Patricia Andrade Piedras, director of the Tulum Hotel Association (AHT), said by phone that as part of the tourist promotion of Tulum they participate in this event known as Top Resa, which takes place in the French capital.
“International travel companies consider the destination as an icon and a reference in terms of tourism. It is a very important market for Tulum and we are doing work hoping that next year we will have a much more favorable occupation in summer and winter,” she explained.
She highlighted that the French market has recognized the improvement of Tulum with the projects of the international airport and the Maya Train. “Here, serving everyone with great pleasure, with great interest and as always very interested in knowing the wonders that Tulum has,” said the hotel executive.
She reiterated that Tulum has a good position in the European market: “They know us, they locate us perfectly, there is a clear differentiation from Cancun, Riviera Maya, and Tulum and now more so with the issue of the airport and these new routes that the Mayan Train will bring as a cultural tourist attraction.”
Meanwhile, Edgar Palacios, public relations coordinator of the Tulum Tourism Promotion Council, said that after the inauguration, held on Tuesday, September 17, they have achieved several business appointments and meetings with tour operators and wholesalers.
He said that European tourism has shown interest in repeating experiences and also new public seeks to know the natural and tourist wonders that Tulum has to offer, such as cenotes Casa Tortuga, which is the only company present at this event.
