KANASÍN, Yucatán, September 22, 2024.- Mayor Edwin Bojórquez Ramírez witnessed yesterday Saturday the arrival in Kanasín of the “Unique Classic Rally”, an exhibition of classic cars from the 50s and 60s.
This rally, which took place under the Municipal Palace, had as its main objective to raise funds to support children and young people who do not have glasses to improve their vision.
The mayor, accompanied by his wife Raquel Balam Rocha and their children, thanked Carlos Hernán Figueroa Martínez, the main organizer of the event, for having brought these cars to Kanasín for the enjoyment of the people of Kanasín.
More than 35 cars were presented in this rally that is being held, according to the organizer, for the third consecutive time.
Many residents took the time to take photos with high-end brand cars such as Porsche, Ferrari, Mercedes Benz, Volvo, Jaguar, Spit Fire, Volkswagen, and Renault, among others.
It was a different Saturday for the people of Kanasín, said Figueroa Martínez, who also said that another of the objectives pursued with this rally is for people to get to know these types of classic cars.
This 2024 the rally began in San Francisco Campeche and then moved to Chichén Itzá, Valladolid, Pisté, Kanasín and ended in the capital city. He announced that next year the start will be in Puerto Morelos with several intermediate points.
