Paramedics from the Secretariat of Public Security (SSP) attended a birth aboard an ambulance this Sunday.

Mrs. Sheilly Janicia Sanchez, 34, gave birth to a girl. She was with her husband, Tilo Eduardo Garcia Hernandez.

Mr. Garcia arrived in his car at the SSP base, under the bridge at the intersection of the Anillo Periférico and the Caucel highway. There, police, fire, and ambulance units are present.

He was going with his wife to the Juarez Hospital of the IMSS when she complained of abdominal pain. The paramedics examined her and put her in the ambulance to give her care and continue the transfer to the hospital.

However, when driving on Jacinto Canek Avenue at the corner of Mérida 2000 Avenue, signs of labor appeared, so the ambulance was parked. The paramedics received the baby, who showed good color and cried vigorously.

After giving the necessary care to the newborn and the mother, the paramedics took them to the hospital. The García Sánchez family lives in the Paraíso Caucel subdivision. The SSP paramedics who attended the birth were Irving Aké, Guadalupe Hernández, and Luis Mex.
