When addressing his message, the Governor indicated that this event is a special occasion for Yucatán because the Premier Mérida Hall is a space that has been modified as part of an ambitious renovation project, and by launching it in this State, it stands out that Yucatán is a world-class destination.
The state president thanked the president of the Aeroméxico Board, Javier Arrigunaga Gómez del Campo Muñoz, for his commitment to excellence and for promoting this vision of renewal, and the director of ASUR Regional Airports, Héctor Navarrete, for his constant support and work to make of the Mérida International Airport, a benchmark of quality and modernity in the southeast of Mexico.
“Connectivity is key to the development of any region, and in Yucatán, we have worked hard to position ourselves as an attractive destination for business, tourism, and investment. “The Mérida International Airport is a gateway for thousands of visitors who come every year to enjoy our culture, our gastronomy, and our people,” he noted.
Finally, the Governor stated “Today we take another step toward the future. A future where Yucatán continues to be a benchmark of hospitality, culture, and modernity; With each action, with each project, we are building a Yucatan where opportunities multiply, where our visitors always find something new to discover, and where our citizens can feel proud of who we are and what we offer to the world.”
The president of the Aeroméxico Board, Javier Arrigunaga Gómez del Campo Muñoz, pointed out that flights to Yucatán continue to grow, with 580 monthly operations, with an offer of 94 thousand Aeroméxico seats and only this year, until the month of September, the airline had transported more than 730 thousand passengers, so it is expected that this year it will exceed the million people transported last year to this destination.
