President Claudia Sheinbaum assured that at the High-Level Summit between leaders and businessmen from Mexico and the United States that will take place today at the National Palace, she seeks to inform them in her own voice that judicial reform strengthens the rule of law in Mexico and that their investments are safe in our country.
At a press conference, the head of the federal Executive stated that she seeks to have certainty and confidence, in addition to considering that this dialogue will be very important for the beginning of her government where she hopes that several investments will be announced.
“It is important to resolve any doubts, that they know that the judicial reform to the Judiciary strengthens the rule of law in Mexico, that their investments are safe in our country, that they hear it from us, that they know that we are interested in them coming to invest under a development plan. So all this is very important.
“What we want is for there to be a certainty, that there is confidence, and I think that it will be a very, very important effort for the beginning of this government and also we hope that several investments will be announced,” she said.
At the National Palace, the federal president highlighted that Mexico, the United States, and Canada represent nearly 30% of the world’s Gross Domestic Product and indicated that Mexico went from being the 15th to the 12th economy in the world “and the commercial relationship is increasingly important.”
