President Claudia Sheinbaum explains what her relationship with US Ambassador Ken Salazar will be like

The President explained that there is an established rule regarding the relationship with any country and in particular with the United States.

President Claudia Sheinbaum ruled out that the relationship with the United States Ambassador, Ken Salazar, will continue to be “on hold”, but communication will be carried out through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs headed by Juan Ramón de la Fuente.

“No, they are meeting through the Secretary of Foreign Affairs, which was what we proposed. They already had a meeting, they have already had several meetings,” she said in La mañanera del Pueblo.

Sheinbaum explained that there is an established rule regarding the relationship with any country and in particular with the United States, who coordinates that relationship is the Secretary of Foreign Affairs.

“So, if you want to talk to the Secretary of Labor, then through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs it is said, well, we want to talk about the subject of the treaty (…) and then both countries will gladly meet,” said the president.

Regarding the relationship that will be had with businessmen, Sheinbaum explained that yesterday at the CEO Dialogue she clarified issues regarding the reform of the Judicial Branch, and reiterated that “investments in Mexico will be safe, there will be certainty of all kinds.”

“We will continue to dialogue, always. If we do not agree on something, well, that is also valid, that is what democracy is for. We have an honest, frank relationship and at the same time, what we want is for there to continue to be investments in Mexico and for the investments of foreign investors to be protected in our country,” declared President Claudia Sheinbaum.
