After the passage of ‘Milton’, at least 24 fishermen were lost on the coast of Yucatan; some of them returned alive to Puerto Progreso aboard the fishing boat ‘Neldy’.

The arrival of these fishermen to port caused joy for their families and impressive stories from the survivors.

The fisherman Cristian narrated the moments they spent in the sea, although he said that “afterward they don’t believe them.”

“It was terrible, the waves were huge, and the tide crossed up to the roof of the boat. Yes, we didn’t even realize it, I already wanted to get home. My daughter is there, my children are there, and my son arrived here with me”.
