The hotel sector has announced that reservation books show an upward trend, and by the end of the year, it is expected that some lodging centers will have overbooking and will exceed occupancy above 85%.
The Cancun International Airport explained that from Friday to Sunday, air operations were above 500 between national and international, after several weeks that remained at an average of 400, due to a decrease in airplane seats.
Although the occupation reported an increase, the nautical sector was affected due to bad weather, with limited operations, and on Sunday the Port Captaincy was closed, leaving only cruise ships and vessels larger than 40 feet open to navigation, explained Ricardo Muleiro López, head of Nautical Associates of Quintana Roo.
