The British living legend captivated the audience with his iconic songs and phrases in Spanish.
Paul McCartney offered a memorable and energetic performance in Monterrey, on Friday, November 8th, as part of his ‘Got Back Tour’, which began in 2022.
In front of an audience of all generations, the British superstar, with more than 60 years of success behind him, gave a show that connected thousands of fans at the Rayados Stadium, in the state capital of Nuevo Leon.
From the beginning, the ex-Beatle captivated the audience not only with his iconic songs but also with messages in Spanish that sparked applause.
“Hello, Mexico! Good evening, Regios. What’s up, Raza!” he exclaimed enthusiastically, promising a great party for his fans.
Although the concert started with a slight delay due to technical problems with access, the wait vanished when the clock struck 9:46 at night, and Sir Paul appeared on stage, causing an explosion of emotion among the 49 thousand attendees.
With humor and closeness, Paul said in Spanish that he would try to ‘speak a little’ in the language, and then begin a musical journey with ‘Drive My Car’.
Despite a light rain that accompanied songs like ‘Got to Get You Into My Life’, the energy of the public remained vibrant, dancing and enjoying every moment.

One of the most emotional moments came when he performed My Valentine on the piano, dedicated to his wife Nancy, who was in the audience.
On the screens, a video showed Johnny Depp and Natalie Portman interpreting the lyrics with sign language, adding a moving visual touch.
The night continued with classics like “I’ve Just Seen a Face” and a nostalgic tribute to The Beatles with “In Spite of All the Danger,” recorded in 1958 by a young McCartney, alongside John Lennon and George Harrison.
Recalling his beginnings, McCartney played songs like “Love Me Do,” one of The Beatles’ first recordings, which the audience enthusiastically sang along to.
And in another emotional moment, he performed “Blackbird” solo, one of the most applauded songs, before dedicating “Here Today” to his “dear friend” John Lennon.
The evening was a journey through time that also included the Beatles’ recent release, “Now and Then,” nominated for a Grammy, along with projections of endearing images of the Liverpool quartet. In addition, with “Something,” dedicated to his “brother” George Harrison, and “Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da,” McCartney achieved a massive karaoke that brought the entire audience together.

One of the most special moments occurred when he invited a couple on stage for a marriage proposal, responding to their request on a sign held up by the audience.

The climax came with the immortal classics “Let It Be,” “Live and Let Die” and “Hey Jude,” crowning a night of emotions and nostalgia.
With Mexico City as his next stop, Paul McCartney continues his tour to Europe, where he will conclude in cities such as Paris, Madrid, Manchester, and London.
