The Progreso Deepwater Port is a highly relevant project for our State.
The head of the Sefoet, Ermilo Barrera Novelo, reported that the expansion of the Progreso Deepwater Port is of great importance for Yucatan since this will allow the region to stand out in its economic development, attract investments, increase exports to the United States and Europe, as well as the generation of more jobs.
The state official commented that, as recently announced by President Claudia Sheinbaum, the works of the Deepwater Port will soon begin, first with all the studies so that this expansion that is so needed in the State is carried out as quickly as possible.
“There are urgent conditions in terms of energy, grains, container cargo, and general cargo, which will finally be achieved, it is a project that has been in the blueprint for decades and will finally be a reality, it will be sooner than you think,” said Barrera Novelo.
Finally, he declared that there is a good relationship with the business chambers and that he has met with the heads to address highly relevant projects such as those mentioned.
