The walk continued towards the Xcabachén neighborhood, where they entered the community’s cenote to hear stories about their origins.
The itinerary included a stop at the Parque de la Madre and the Calzada del Amor, until reaching the Ceiba de la Xtabay, where stories full of mysticism that combine reality and fantasy were shared.
The narrators evoked the collective memory of Maní in this first edition of Nights of Legends.
The narrators revived the collective memory of Maní, addressing topics from pre-Hispanic times to indigenous resistance, as well as creatures and spirits that, according to tradition, inhabit the mountains and paths of the region.
To close the night, the Maní Folkloric Ballet offered a performance.
The event aims to strengthen local identity, preserve cultural wealth, and attract more visitors in the future. The municipal authorities anticipated that there would be more editions of this cultural event.
