On the night of October 31, the owner of a yacht had a Halloween scare, as there was an outbreak of fire on the ship.
At around 7 p.m., people near the dock area of a well-known convenience store in the sheltered port of Yucalpetén noticed that a dense column of smoke was coming out of a yacht.
They immediately notified the emergency services, so elements of the Municipal Police went to the scene, as did a pipe from the Fire Department of the Ministry of Public Security. It didn’t take long for the owner of the boat to arrive as well.
At first, they could not locate the area where the possible fire had originated, but they soon identified that it was the control panel. Once the problem was identified, they set about putting out the fire to prevent it from getting worse.
Finally, it was determined that a short circuit in the board started the fire outbreak.
