Quintana Roo reinforces its presence in the British market by participating in the World Travel Market (WTM) 2024 in London, one of the most influential events in global tourism.
Likewise, this event, which takes place from November 5 to 7, brings together more than 5,000 exhibitors and 40,000 professionals from the tourism sector, providing a key platform to promote Quintana Roo destinations and establish new business alliances.
In this regard, the state Secretary of Tourism, Bernardo Cueto, highlighted that, between January and July 2024, more than 206,000 British tourists arrived in Quintana Roo, consolidating the United Kingdom as a strategic market.
Governor Mara Lezama stressed the importance of strengthening ties with the United Kingdom as part of the vision to promote sustainable and quality tourism in the Mexican Caribbean.
WTM 2024 is a key opportunity to show the diversification of Quintana Roo’s 12 tourist destinations and establish new commercial connections with travel agents, tour operators, and international media.
In addition, the state has achieved 25 direct flights between Cancún and the main cities of the United Kingdom, guaranteeing excellent connectivity for British travelers.
