Orange Fair Queen invites the public to Oxkutzcab.

OXKUTZCAB, YUCATAN.— Giovanna Jaqueline Martín Burgos, queen of the Orange Fair in its 38th edition, has as her main objective to promote the culture and agricultural traditions of Huerta del Estado, highlighting the importance of the hard work of the farmers and the people who have exalted the name of the municipality.

In addition, she seeks more people to know about the impressive citrus sculptures that are exhibited at the fair, the result of the planting and harvesting carried out by the farmers.

The representative invites everyone to visit Oxkutzcab, as she is waiting for them with joy to enjoy the events prepared with dedication by the Organizing Committee of the Fair.

Giovanna Jaqueline Martín is a graduate of the degree in Veterinary Medicine and Animal Husbandry.

Her parents are the farmer Diego Martín Pérez and Mrs. Yesenia Burgos Granados.

She proudly represents the San Anselmo agricultural unit, tablaje 1683, owned by her grandfather, Juan Diego Martín Briceño.

Giovanna added that Oxkutzcab has a wide variety of hotels, restaurants and attractive places such as the municipal park, the church of San Francisco de Asís, the Hermitage, the agricultural markets and archaeological sites of the region that can be visited during their stay at the Huerta del Estado.

The Orange Fair will take place from December 5 to 15.

Among the attractions this year are extreme mechanical games, car exhibition, the horseback ride, cycling and athletics competitions, and the spectacular closing dance with the presentation of the singer “Paleto”.
