Buctzotz is in shock after the homicide of the young man José L. Lizama B., who was violently murdered last Sunday, December 8th.
According to reports, the tragic event occurred on 27th Street between (between 16th and 14th) in the municipality, when José was visiting his girlfriend, Paula A.
Next-door neighbor, Juan J. Chin C., 21, took a shotgun from his home and, in an inexplicable act, fired in the direction of the couple.
Although the first shot hit a nearby motorcycle, the aggressor later aimed directly at the young man, who fell to the ground lifeless.
According to witnesses, the young man remained on a corner with the loaded weapon where he was confronted by police officers and arrested.
Agents of the Secretariat of Public Security (SSP) and municipal police arrived at the scene, where they arrested the aggressor, who said that he gunned down the young man because of old grudges.
José L. Lizama B. was known in Buctzotz as an honest, hard-working citizen, with no criminal record whatsoever; The Yucatan Times expresses its deepest condolences to his family and friends.
