A Kia car overturned on the Mérida Periférico after the driver made a bad maneuver by taking a side street and entering the Montebello subdivision.
According to the report, the events occurred between 6:30 and 7 in the morning.
A Kia K3 car was traveling on the inner lanes of the Periférico, and when it was coming down from the Santa Gertrudis Copó bridge, the driver tried to take the side street to enter the streets of Montebello.
She made a miscalculation because the front left tire of the car collided with the concrete curb.
The car lifted up and at that moment it was hit by a Renault Kwid compact vehicle that was behind it, so the first vehicle overturned and practically fell on top of the Kwid.
The people who were in both vehicles got out on their own. Although they suffered considerable blows, none needed to be taken to a hospital.
The police became aware of the accident and after a few minutes removed the vehicles to clear traffic, which was seriously affected.
The lines of cars extended for a little more than five kilometers and at times traffic stopped completely.
The parties involved reached an agreement to repair the damage through the insurance companies.
Also around 6:30 in the morning, state police became aware of a serious traffic accident in the Los Héroes subdivision.
