A tragic night was experienced at the High Specialty Hospital of Mérida, where a woman lost her life after falling from the third floor of the hospital.
According to the first reports, the incident caused extensive police mobilization. Although the case was handled in secrecy, it emerged that the woman fell from said height. However, it was also stated that there was an attempt on his life, but this was not confirmed.
The police deployment caught the attention of relatives of patients at the hospital.
The police officers who arrived at the scene cordoned off the area and asked people to move away from the area where the events occurred while waiting for the forensic experts and staff of the Prosecutor’s Office to carry out the corresponding investigations.
The identity of the deceased person was still unknown. It is expected that the authorities will clarify the circumstances in which the events occurred.
A similar case occurred last September, when on the morning of Thursday the 19th, a man died in a hotel in the Xcumpich neighborhood of Mérida, after falling from the seventh floor. The person who lost his life in that fall was of Dutch origin and was 57 years old. He was undergoing psychological and psychiatric treatment, his relatives said.
