The man is convicted of the crime that occurred in 2022 in the Chuburná Puerto area, Progreso municipality.
Yucatan Second Collegiate Court unanimously issued a conviction against civil engineer Jorge Carlos “N”, 25 years old, for the crimes of qualified homicide and truck theft, after shooting down a young man who wanted to sell his truck and got murdered instead. The hearing will be held in the following days to determine how many years he will spend in prison
It is worth mentioning that, along with the now guilty party, his cousin Erasmo “N” was arrested, in compliance with an arrest warrant, to answer for the death of José “N”.
The incident occurred on April 4, 2022, when, after receiving the report, the State Police alerted its units in the Chuburná Puerto area and from the C5i video surveillance cameras and reader arches system, the possible routes of the alleged murderers and their fleeing vehicles were monitored: and so the stolen truck (Mazda type CX-7, white), and a red car, both seized hours later.
The murderer and the victim had agreed to meet for the sale of the truck in the downtown area of Chuburná Puerto, at the Canané entrance.
The accused asked him to test it on sand roads, and when the young man got out of the vehicle, he shot him and fled with his cousin, stealing the vehicle.
In the end, the victim’s car was found in the Plaza “Velarie”, in Ciudad Caucel.
