As can be seen in the photograph, only the image of the Virgin of Guadalupe remained intact after a fire in Merida

A fire broke out in a house on 53rd Street between 18th and 16th in the Juan Pablo II subdivision, consuming the hallway and the porch. Neighbors alerted the firefighters and the owner of the property.

In response, personnel from the Fire Department of the Secretariat of Public Security (SSP) went to the site and managed to put out the flames, preventing the fire from spreading to other areas of the house.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported, although the material damage was significant.

An image of the Virgin of Guadalupe remains intact.
