According to reports from federal authorities, at least 411 Yucatecans have been repatriated from the United States so far in 2024.

According to the report from the Migration Policy Unit of the Ministry of the Interior (Segob), this figure remained the same throughout 2023, so more reports are expected this year.

The report indicates that 316 of the deportees are men and 95 are women, in addition to the fact that September was the month with the most reports of repatriations with 63 reported cases.

Likewise, federal authorities point out that 21 of the people who were deported are minors, 18 of these are men and only 3 are women. It should be noted that, in repatriation, citizens receive support from both the federal and state governments through the Institute for the Development of Mayan Culture, which provides them with the facilities to return to their municipality.
