Possible health emergency on a PEMEX oil platform off the coast of Ciudad del Carmen, as 4 employees are demoted for alleged cases of monkeypox

Ciudad del Carmen, Campeche, (December 5).- The medical service on an oil platform has detected workers with symptoms of monkeypox and ordered their immediate transfer by helicopter this morning.

The possible infected were dressed in white insulating suits to prevent them from spreading the disease.

There is still no statement from any Health authority or Pemex on the matter.

Common symptoms of monkeypox include skin rash, fever, sore throat, headache, muscle aches, back pain, lack of energy, and swollen lymph nodes.
