The Public Security Secretariat (SSP) of Yucatan canceled the registration of 23 private security companies and suspended that of six, the corporation itself reported today Monday (27.1.2025) in the Official Gazette of the Yucatan State (DOEY).
Both measures by the SSP represent a bad start to the year for the workers of the 29 sanctioned private security companies, as they were left without jobs in the middle of the “January slope”.
Private security companies suspended in Yucatan
According to the SSP lists, updated to January 14, 2025, the six companies whose registration to provide private security services was suspended are the following:
1) Miguel Arnulfo Barbosa Paredes, whose company has the commercial name of Tecype, had his registration suspended for one month, from December 26, 2024, for submitting the renewal late.
2) Servicios Coordinados La Fortaleza (Fortalimsa), also suspended for one month, but from December 31, 2024, for not reporting its elements in its monthly report.
3) Grupo de Seguridad Privada Pryse de México, has been suspended for two months, since January 3, 2025, also for not reporting its personnel.
4) Ishimura Secure Services, suspended for one month from January 8, 2025, for late submission of revalidation.
5) José Antonio Gamboa Manrique (Segam), also for one month, from January 10, and late revalidation.
6) Grupo AES Peninsular, also for one month, from January 10, and the same reason.
In four months, the number of companies increased from one in September 2024, Serprosep, to six this January.
Private security companies in Yucatan: those canceled
In a major sanction, the SSP canceled the registration of the following 23 security companies (21 for repeating their failure to submit the monthly report, one altered the authorization received and another failed to comply with the obligation imposed on it when it was suspended):
Promotora Integral Seghig (Seghig).
Dragones.
Aryoda Security Corporation (Aryoda).
Private Intelligence Services.
Private Security Multiproducts (Multiproseg).
Liproseg.
Grupo Cero.
MAMC. The private security division.
General Maintenance, Cleaning, Security and Other Services (Sslimt).
Private Security and Loss Prevention of the Southeast (Sisec).
Private Security Integral Control Agency. Private security area.
Links High-Quality Corporate Services (Links Connecting Businesses).
Quantum of the Southeast.
Speem.
Cyber Black.
Magav Group of the Southeast (Magav).
Serviseg.
Mayab Guards.
SPS Baja Services (SPS).
Delta Level.
LMS Private Security (LMS).
MK Group (EGM Group).
Serprosep.
These are the same 22 companies whose registration was canceled in September 2024. This January they were joined by Serprosep.
Finally, the SSP reported that 90 private security companies have permission to operate in Yucatan.
