Mothers and fathers of the students at the “Agustín Vadillo Cicero” Middle High School, in Mérida, are on alert, they are concerned about a person outside the institution who somehow managed to reach the students and put them at risk.
The man approximately 35 years old, almost two meters tall, robust, with little hair and a long beard, detained the students of group “F” of the third grade for at least 40 minutes in a room. During this time, he incited them to commit suicide, perform group sexual acts, and threaten to harm them.
One of the students reported that the incident occurred in the morning, almost at the time of entry, in the absence of teacher Miguel. “At first we thought he was a teacher, but then we realized he wasn’t,” stated the teenager who asked to remain anonymous.
The supervisor of the area, teacher Mario Toledo Pérez, recognized that this person came to the institution looking for work, he explained that the deputy director in charge called him to ask if someone from the Yucatan Secretary of Education had sent him. While the investigations were being made, the man was taken to a library and left alone. This was the moment the stranger took advantage of to get into the 3°F classroom.
The students reported that the man, now identified as José T. M., entered the room and immediately closed the door; He began to talk to teenagers about how “today’s youth are not like before,” he belittled their human values with insults, and offenses and encouraged them to take drugs and take their own lives because “it was the right thing to do.”
According to the students’ testimonies, the man said that he did not manage to become a teacher because “Satan” prevented him from doing so, and he continuously used foul language.
He instilled fear in the young people to whom he told that had already identified them and their families and that he was going to harm them. In addition, he invited a girl to perform group sexual acts with him and other students.
One of the teenagers said that they were afraid, but they couldn’t do anything, because the man was huge and robust, about two meters tall, and suddenly became aggressive.
After almost 40 minutes locked up with this person, a prefect managed to open the classroom door and took the subject out of the school, but the institution did not report it to the police or educational authorities of the State, a situation that angered the students’ parents. So several families went to the school this morning to complain.
The parents reported that the infiltrator left on his own, without any teacher or director calling the police or taking immediate action.
They demanded from the deputy director greater security on the educational campus and psychological attention to the students, in addition to filing the corresponding complaints because this person, according to the tutors themselves, had already planned this and had threatened to do the same in other schools such as the Preparatoria 1, which is located right next to this high school. “Our children were kidnapped and the school did not notify the authorities,” said one of the parents.
The supervisor of the area explained in a brief interview that the students, unlike what the parents think, were not kidnapped and that this person had already been identified, so through a letter to the Secretary of Education of the State Government ( Segey), they would file a complaint. Some parents, however, have indicated that on their initiative, they will simultaneously file formal complaints with the State Attorney General’s Office.
Toledo Pérez indicated that appropriate measures will be established so that this situation does not happen again, however, the parents are still very upset with this situation. They say that this person has threatened their children on social networks. Apparently, this subject was a student of this same institution in his adolescence.
The tutors demanded not only the school authorities but also the educational authorities, greater security for the children, and psychological care since those who were present no longer wanted to return to school afraid that this psychopath would show up again.
