The feast of the Three Kings is approaching and those who have the custom of cutting the rosca have eagerly waited for another year to enjoy this delicious bread.
Those who used to go for a slice of this traditional cake at the event called “The largest rosca in the Southeast”, organized by hotel chains, will be left without doing so since it is a fact that this year the activity will not take place.
Local hotels indicated that they had no information about a 2025 edition of the event, which was held for several years on the section of Avenida Colón between Calle 60 and Paseo de Montejo.
In one of the cases it was said that, if it were held this year, they would have already received a notification about it.
The last time “The Largest Rosca in the Southeast” was held was in January 2020, before the start of the pandemic. The sale of the pieces was destined to benefit different causes.
