Reported for the crime of attempted homicide, Jesús Antonio D. C., 53 years old, an event disc jockey, was arrested this Tuesday. Last Thursday, January 16, the events occurred on 26th Street along Avenida Alemán, in Mérida.
Based on the complaint and the investigations, the individual attacked citizen J.M.N.P., 74 years old, inside his vehicle.
He hit him repeatedly, holding him tightly by the neck and threatening to kill him, after which he got into a gray KIA car and fled.
Agents of the State Investigative Police (PEI) of the Secretariat of Public Security (SSP) in coordination with the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE), gathered evidence that demonstrates the probable responsibility of the accused.
Based on the above, the investigating agents and prosecutors asked a judge for an arrest warrant through a search.
In recent days, the attack against the older adult that occurred on Alemán Avenue in this city went viral, which was recorded on video by witnesses to the event. The elderly man was the victim of an attack while he was inside his car, where a subject entered and attacked him with blows, without the origin of the attack being known so far.
