At a press conference held at the Municipal Archive, and faithful to the commitment to promote responsible pet ownership and provide quality of life to companion animals, the Campeche mayor’s office supports the holding of events that are in line with these principles, such as the “Santa Fe Race, Kilo por Kilo” that promotes family coexistence, the inclusion of companion animals in social life and the strengthening of the culture of respect and care for these species, as well as their quality of life, as explained Tun Chiquini.

“It is a race in which pets will be rewarded, it will promote responsible ownership and it also has a cause, because for each person registered Santa Fe will donate a 4 kilos package to homeless animal shelters, and in the adoption process,” said.

The “Kilo por Kilo” race consists of a circuit in which participants must run with their pets three kilometers for small breed pets and five kilometers for medium and large pets. The race will take place on the city’s boardwalk, starting the circuit in the Moch Couoh park towards the water park and back, concluding at the starting point.

The awards are expected to award 25, 12, and 8 kilos for first, second, and third place for the small pet category; and 25, 15, and 8 kilos of dog food for first, second, and third place in the medium and large species category.

Those interested in participating in this race can do so at the Tienda Santa Fe facilities, on Avenida Concordia between 12th Street in the Carmelo neighborhood and Don Eugenio Street in the Quinta de los Españoles Fraccionamiento, or by contacting the mobile phone number: 9818291765. The organizers invited the people responsible for the shelters to come to the registration point and register their shelters to receive the donation that will be given to each of the people registered for the race.
