The state will have an international projection thanks to strategic alliances with operators and tourism companies.

The state of Campeche is ready to participate in the International Tourism Fair (FITUR) 2025, the leading event in the tourism sector globally, to be held from January 22 to 26 in the city of Madrid, Spain.

Under the leadership of Mauricio Arceo Piña, head of the Campeche Tourism Secretariat, the aim is to consolidate an ambitious strategy to position itself as a key destination within the Mayan World.

Campeche’s participation in FITUR has as its main objective to promote the cultural, historical, and natural riches that distinguish the state, including its colonial cities, Magical Towns, and archaeological sites.
One of the great anchors of this promotion is the Mayan Train, which seeks to transform connectivity and significantly boost the arrival of tourists.

FITUR, recognized as the global meeting point for tourism professionals, will bring together 2,500 companies, 884 exhibitors in 9 pavilions, 156 participating countries, and 101 representatives.

In this context, Campeche seeks to generate synergies with key players in the global tourism sector, thus strengthening its position in the receptive and issuing markets of Latin America.

“Our participation in FITUR not only allows us to give visibility to the important cultural and natural heritage of Campeche but also to establish strategic alliances that promote the economic development of our state through sustainable and quality tourism,” said Mauricio Arceo Piña, secretary of tourism of Campeche.

With an agenda of activities that includes meetings with tour operators, travel agencies, and world tourism professionals, Campeche seeks to attract investments, consolidate new tourist routes, and strengthen its image as a unique and diverse destination.

The participation of the value chain of the Campeche tourism sector in this important event reaffirms the state’s commitment to promoting Campeche as a tourist reference at a national and international level.
