A 29-year-old Mexican tourist was rescued on Monday, January 20th, when he was about to drown, after entering the sea despite the red flag on Gaviota Azul beach in the Hotel Zone of Cancun.
This event occurred around 6 in the afternoon, and he was immediately attended to by Civil Protection lifeguards.
According to witnesses, the young Kevin, 29 years old, originally from Mexico City, went to the beach, despite the red flag on the beach.
The sea current dragged him several meters out to sea, which immediately caused an alert among beach visitors, who reported it to the corresponding authorities.
Thus, the C5 staff sent lifeguards to this area, who managed to rescue the young man.
Later, the tourist was assessed by paramedics from the Life company, who transferred him to the IMSS hospital.
