“With great pride, we announce a historic collaboration between Cancun and Malaga, two destinations where we share a deep love for art, culture, and innovation. We continue to position our city as a vacation hub that transforms, inspires, and enchants,” said the municipal president, Ana Paty Peralta, when signing the General Protocol of Action between the municipalities of Benito Juarez and Malaga, on the second official day of the International Tourism Fair (FITUR) 2025, in Madrid, Spain.

According to the statement, thanks to this alliance, Ana Paty Peralta announced that for the first time, Cancun will host an exhibition of the works of the great Pablo Picasso at the iconic Maya Museum in the hotel zone of Cancun.

She also explained that a mural inspired by the legacy of the painter will be made in Playa Delfines, one of the most beautiful public resorts with its unrivaled sea and sand, which proudly displays the Blue Flag, so this symbol of the city will be beautified.

In turn, the mayor of Malaga stated that it will also allow them to exchange good practices in terms of sustainable and environmentally friendly tourism.
