With total willingness to work in a coordinated manner, with institutional respect in the relationship with the different levels of Government, the municipal president of Mérida, Cecilia Patrón Laviada, attended the meeting that the president of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, held with mayors and governors from all over the country.
“From the City Council we build the necessary bridges that mean the benefit for the people of Mérida, from the scope of our powers,” said the first mayor.
Since the first day of her administration, Cecilia Patron has maintained total openness to dialogue and collaboration with all levels of government, under the premise of respect for the powers and attributions that correspond to each one, always seeking to enhance the programs and services provided by the municipal administration.
During the meeting in which Governor Joaquín Díaz Mena was present, the Mayor highlighted the understanding that municipal governments are the closest to the people, the first contact with citizens, which allows them to offer immediate and effective attention to their most basic needs.
She also said that, since municipal presidents are the ones who listen to the inhabitants of their community, they can share their true feelings with the other levels of government, so that resources are allocated effectively in the search for a better quality of life for all.
Finally, Cecilia reiterated that she will always maintain coordination with the different levels of government, seeking common ground for the full development of society in Mérida.
