More than 2,000 migrants from various countries began walking early Monday in southern Mexico hoping to reach the United States despite President Donald Trump’s threats of mass deportations and limiting asylum.

Hours before Donald Trump assumed the presidency of the United States, migrants left in the fourth caravan of 2025 from the southern border, since despite the threats of the new president of the northern country, they did not give up on the American dream.

At 00:15 hours on Monday, January 20, around two thousand migrants of various nationalities left Bicentennial Park in Tapachula heading for the northern border of the country to try to cross into the United States.

After walking more than 25 kilometers along the coastal highway, the migrants arrived at the municipality of Huehuetán, where they rested and then continued their journey, since despite Donald Trump’s threats they did not plan to stay on the southern border.
