The City Council of Progreso, headed by Mayor Erik José Rihani González, will offer January, February, and March 2025 discounts on the payment of property tax as part of the program “Pay your property tax and take advantage of the benefits”, to support the economy of Progreso families.
The head of the Finance and Treasury Department, C.P. Paulina Beatriz Palma Quiñones, reported that the discounts are 20% in January, 15% in February, and 10% in March, while retirees and pensioners will be able to access a 50% discount during January and February.
In addition, those who make the payment on time will participate in a raffle scheduled for Thursday, June 5, 2025, with prizes that include a 2025 model car, for first place; a motorcycle for second place, and a 55-inch television for third place.
Payment options will also be offered in 3, 6, 9, and 12 months without interest with participating cards.
Paulina Palma Quiñones urged citizens to take advantage of the discounts and participate in this program, highlighting that the funds raised will be used to improve public services, both in the municipal capital and in the six police stations.
“Let us remember that every peso invested in paying property taxes contributes significantly to the development of our municipality,” concluded the official.
