The tragic death of school teacher Ana L. Medina M., 49, in a traffic accident between Telchac Puerto and Telchac Pueblo caused deep consternation among Yucatecans.
The now deceased, who is also the owner of the Hotel “La Caracola” in Progreso, was driving her Chevy compact vehicle when she collided head-on with a Geo Tracker SUV.
The two occupants of the Tracker are injured. They are also from the port of Progreso.
The road was closed to the circulation of all types of vehicles. While emergency units arrived at the scene.
It will be the competent authorities that will determine who is responsible for the fatal accident.
