Four armed men threatened customers and employees of the jewelry store ‘Arte Joyero’.

According to preliminary information, the events occurred around 4 p.m. today in the aforementioned jewelry store inside the shopping center, located in superblock 51 in Cancun.

Initial reports indicate that four armed men arrived and threatened the employees, security personnel and customers of the jewelry store, to carry out the robbery with violence.

Fortunately, so far there are no reports of injured or dead people, despite the fact that the thieves were armed. In addition, the version that there were gunshots was denied.

Only one woman, apparently an employee, was known to have suffered a nervous breakdown, for which she was transferred to a hospital by paramedics from a private company.

So far, the amount of the loot is unknown.

The area was secured by agents from the State Attorney General’s Office and the municipal police.
