The puppy was suffering abuse in a house located in the Dzoyolá subdivision.

Thanks to a timely complaint from a neighbor, the Ecological Police of Kanasín managed to rescue this Sunday a puppy that was suffering abuse in the Dzoyolá subdivision, which has been given to an animal protection association for adoption.

Elements of the corporation went to 25 A Street with 20, where they identified the indicated property. At the place, they interviewed two elderly people, who explained that the puppy, approximately two months old, belonged to their 14-year-old granddaughter, who obviously, did not take proper care of the animal.

With the collaboration of the occupants of the house, the puppy was handed over to the authorities, secured, and transferred to the North Base to receive medical evaluation by the veterinarian on duty.

The animal was later placed in the care of Kelly González, a rescuer from the Asociación Esperanza Animal MID, who will manage the adoption process to find it a safe and loving home.

The dog was handed over to an activist who will be in charge of finding a new home for him.

This case highlights the importance of citizen complaints and the collaboration between the community and the authorities to combat animal abuse in the region.
