Entrepreneurs from Southern Quintana Roo seek strategic alliances with Belize to promote opportunities in agriculture, commerce, real estate, and tourism.
In 2025, entrepreneurs from the south of Quintana Roo will seek to consolidate alliances with the neighboring country of Belize to promote and encourage the multiple business opportunities that exist in the region.
Josué Osmany Palomo Hoil, president of the Employers’ Confederation of the Mexican Republic (Coparmex) in Chetumal, said that entrepreneurs and authorities from Belize are very interested in strengthening communication bridges that generate regional benefits in agriculture, commerce, real estate, and tourism, among others.
He indicated that recently Juan Antonio Briceño, Prime Minister of Belize, invited Governor Mara Lezama and Yensunni Martínez Hernández, municipal president of Othón P Blanco, to visit his country to address issues of economic interest in the region, which represents an opportunity that should be taken advantage of and that businessmen will promote.
Palomo Hoil stated that in Belize, there is great interest in strengthening communication bridges that generate regional benefits. The Prime Minister of Belize and the Minister of Agriculture, Food Security, and Business, Abelardo Mai, highlighted the importance of the Maya Train and reaffirmed their interest in extending it to their country and becoming a connection point with the Central American countries and with the Caribbean Commonwealth.
