An ongoing issue for Cancun International Airport continues to be the taxi fees. Prices are not structured and seem to vary from driver to driver. Governor Mara Lezama is looking to put an end to this after two American travelers were forced to pay a ridiculous upfront fee for their ride to Tulum.

Governor Mara Lezama is looking to put a stop to this issue which appears to be ongoing at Cancun International Airport. A Canadian traveler was almost forced to pay $1,000 a few months ago, while the taxi driver almost fled from the scene with the passenger’s bag still in the car.
