On Friday, January 17th, a tamale vendor experienced moments of panic when a snake measuring approximately two meters long unexpectedly fell on top of her umbrella. The incident occurred at the intersection of 33rd, 26th, and 28th streets, in Downtown Motul, Yucatan.

The woman said that she was calmly sitting there tending to her stall when the reptile fell on the umbrella that protected her from the sun, causing her to scream in terror.

Fortunately, Municipal Civil Protection personnel were standing just a few meters from the scene and quickly came to capture the unexpected visitor.

After a quick and effective intervention, the reptile was secured and transferred by the Civil Protection team to a safe area on the outskirts of the city, far from homes and the danger to the population.

The incident, although alarming, did not leave any injuries and was resolved without further setbacks, thanks to the prompt response of the authorities.
