The Secretariat of Public Security (SSP) works in coordination with federal authorities to combat the trafficking of drugs and guarantee the safety of citizens.
During an operation at a shipping company located south of Mérida, elements of the K-9 Unit located a suspicious box.
After the search the indicators were positive: 7,200 doses of crystal, packaged and ready for distribution; 10,800 doses positive for fentanyl, also packaged in a similar way; which were seized.
The package, from Mexico City, was seized and made available to the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) for the corresponding follow-up.
The SSP urges citizens to report any suspicious activity to 911 for immediate attention.
