The Music Palace has a wide program of activities for this year, such as the new season of the Yucatan Symphony Orchestra (OSY) and educational concerts every Saturday.

Adele Urbán Flores, general director of the Music Palace, explained that the work of the venue is being aligned with the vision of the Mayan Renaissance and recalled that they are also the National Center of Mexican Music since Yucatan obtained the right to be the venue.

“We are pleased that this space has been here for six and a half years.”

The Interactive Museum is open from Wednesday to Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and there “you can learn about everything from pre-Hispanic sounds to contemporary music.”

She said that the Music Palace has “an incredible museography” and the rooms are interactive.

Starting this month, they will host the concerts of the new OSY season, which will open on Friday the 24th. The first program will be repeated on Sunday the 26th.

On the last two Fridays of each month, there are “Trova Fridays” in the Patio de Cuerdas, at 7 p.m., with free admission.

On the last Tuesday of each month, there will be shows by the Taller de la Canción Yucateca. In addition, the Palacio de la Música is the venue for the “Candlelight” presentations in which a string quartet plays surrounded by lit candles on the stage. On Saturday the 18th there will be two performances: at 7 p.m. the “Tribute to Adele” and at 9 the “Tribute to Coldplay vs Imagine Dragons”. Tickets are on sale at feverup.com.

Every Saturday at noon there will be educational concerts in the Interactive Museum. This Saturday, January 11th Víctor Ventura Slim, “El príncipe de la Luna”, will perform in that space.

“We have a 2025 with plenty of activities and we are hosting two events of the Mérida Fest as well. We are happy,” added Urbán.

Precisely as part of the Mérida Fest, this Saturday, at 8 p.m., “A life in culture, tribute to Luis Pérez Sabido” will be held in the Concert Hall, with free admission.

On Sunday, January 12th, at 6 p.m., also as part of the Mérida Fest, “Entre sueños y emocionales” will be presented, with Blanca Fuentes, in the Concert Hall. Tickets are sold at the Palace box office.

Access to the educational concerts is through the payment of the entrance fee to the Interactive Museum, which for the general public is 200 pesos (10 USD), but Mexicans who present their voter ID pay 100 pesos, and residents of Yucatán, 50 pesos. Teachers, students, and senior citizens pay only 25 pesos.

The full program can be found on Facebook: Palacio de la Música-Centro Nacional de la Música Mexicana, as well as on Instagram and YouTube.
